The Problem
Every year, over a million visitors flock to Silver Falls State Park to immerse themselves in its stunning natural beauty. However, only a small fraction of these guests depart with a comprehensive understanding of the park’s early inhabitants, its rich history, and the geological features that shape its landscape. During my many visits to this lovely spot, I noticed a great opportunity for park visitors to learn about these factors, making their experience even more enjoyable.
The Solution
Articulate Rise served as an ideal rapid authoring tool to achieve my objectives for this course within a short one-week timeline. I utilized its diverse interactive features to enable learners to engage with the content, incorporating multiple outbound links and resources for those interested in further exploration.
My process
This interactive eLearning project followed SAM, the Successive Approximations Model, an agile e-learning development process. This process allowed me to quickly produce a functioning learning solution that could be tested for strengths and weaknesses. I then iteratively improved the course until it met the learning objectives.
Results and Takeaways
I was eager to share this project with others. The positive feedback I received was terrific, with many expressing how much they learned about a place they’ve visited many times. This project further fueled my passion for Silver Falls State Park, and I’m excited for you to view the course and hope it inspires you to experience this gem for yourself.
